Victorians Gaining Strength

Existing friendship groups and individuals who live in Victoria and with Myasthenia have been connecting and keeping in touch under the banner of 'MG Friends in Victoria'. This group offers a Closed Facebook Discussion Group with Mr. Greg Bowman as a liaison person. Greg can be reached on 0407 371 877. The group held their second meeting on December 3rd and were strongly supported. A decision was taken at this gathering to work towards forming an Incorporated Association in 2018. As an Incorporated Association Victorians will have a recognised organisation capable of addressing the needs of Myasthenics in this State. This is wonderful news for everyone in Victoria. For the remainder of Australia it is also an excellent step forward. As an Incorporated Association they can be invited to join the National Alliance which will bring greater depth to advocacy issues and research opportunities. Meetings of the Victorian group are planned to rotate around the State making contact accessible for all. The next meeting is scheduled for March 2018.
